What this site is
Brussels Tourism Guide publishes independent travel writing about Brussels and about day trips from it. Everything here is general editorial information for people planning a visit. It is not professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for checking an official source before you rely on something.
The limits of travel information
Guides are researched carefully and checked against primary sources, but Brussels does not stand still. Admission prices rise. Museums change their closing days, and many in Brussels close on Mondays while others close on Tuesdays. STIB fares and ticketing rules are revised. The Royal Palace opens for a few weeks in summer and the dates move. Restaurants close without notice. Tram routes are diverted for works that last years.
Because of this, every price, opening time, timetable and recommendation on this site is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date the article states, and no further than that. Before you travel, spend money, or build a day around a specific opening time, confirm it with the venue or operator directly. We do not accept responsibility for a journey made, a ticket bought, or a plan built on information that has since changed.
No affiliation with Brussels institutions
This is an independent publication. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or acting on behalf of visit.brussels, the City of Brussels, any of the nineteen communes of the Brussels-Capital Region, STIB-MIVB, SNCB, Brussels Airport, or any museum, brewery, hotel or tour operator described on the site. Names, logos and trade marks belonging to those organisations are used descriptively and remain their property.
We do not sell or book anything
No transaction of any kind takes place on this site. We take no payments, hold no reservations, issue no tickets, and act as agent for nobody. Any arrangement you make with a hotel, restaurant, museum, transport operator or tour company is between you and them, on their terms, and we are not a party to it.
Links to other sites
Guides link out to official sources so that you can verify details for yourself. Those sites are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability, or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific fact it supports.
Advertising and commission
The site does not carry display advertising at the time of writing. If and when it does, adverts will be supplied by an advertising network and their content chosen by that network, not by us. We do not endorse advertised products or services, we do not vet advertisers, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are entirely between you and them.
Some booking links do earn us a commission, through our booking partner Stay22: if you book through one, the provider pays us, and your price is the same either way. That is stated at the top of every guide and explained on the affiliate disclosure page. It does not make us a party to your booking.
Editorial content is kept separate from both. Nothing on this site is recommended in return for payment, and no advertiser or booking partner has any say over what is written.

The text, photographs, layout and structure of this site are protected by copyright and belong to Brussels Tourism Guide or to the licensors of the images used, unless stated otherwise.
You are welcome to quote a short extract for review, comment, teaching or news reporting, provided you attribute it to Brussels Tourism Guide and link to the page you took it from. You may not republish whole guides, reproduce substantial parts of the site, or use the content to train commercial systems, without written permission. Requests can be made through the contact page.
Acceptable use

These terms may be revised. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.
